Area-Wide House Church Gathering

Dear Friends,

You are cordially invited to join us for an evening of fellowship and challenge. We  want to “kick off” the New Year with an area-wide “Y’all Come” house church  gathering. So this is your invitation to come and be a part. We hope that this will  become a monthly house church gathering for organic HC people in the greater  Spokane area.

Special Guests:

Ed Cain – Ed has been a traditional church pastor for many years, but recently God  called him to plant a new work oriented around house churches. Ed will share briefly  about his amazing journey into organic house church and his vision for the upcoming  year.

Al West – Al has been a prison chaplain and ministry leader for over 20 years and is  currently planting house churches among inmates both inside and outside the prison  system. Al will share his amazing story and his equally amazing vision for planting  more house churches throughout our community.

Paul Byerly – Paul is with House2House Ministries and director of “The Marriage Bed”  ministries. I’ve asked Paul to share briefly about what is going on around the country  with respect to organic house church. You won’t want to miss this!

Marty McKinney – Marty and Julie McKinney are the Directors of Truth Ministries, a  homeless men’s shelter in Spokane. I’ve asked Marty to share some about his work on  the streets, because I’m excited about the possibility of planting organic house  churches among the homeless (how’s that for a divine contradiction in terms?!).

Brock Weigum – Brock is an amazing young man with a ministry to Jehovah  Witnesses (having been raised as one!). I’ve asked him to share about his ministry,  because I see it as an example of the potential for planting house churches among  specific people groups.

The purpose of this gathering is to “stimulate one another to greater love and good  deeds.”“Where’s  God Going in 2011?” This will be a combination of “get to know one another” and exploring . Because we want to keep this as “organic” as possible, we want  YOU to be involved. Got a song or music you want to share. Bring it. Have a word God  has laid on your heart? Bring it.
